Issue#2251: Blackberry - Push notification not working

  • Hi,

    I am not able to receive push notifications in the app I am developing. It was working with the evaluation credentials. But after I updated the credentials with the production one sent by BlackBerry, it stopped working. I strongly believe that the issue must be related to the credentials I am using. Please find them below and verify the same.

    BB OS version: OS 6 & OS 7

    App Id: removed
    Port: removed
    PPG URL: http://xxxxxx.pushapi.na.blackberry.com

    The xml which is sent from our server to BB server for notification is:

    <?xml version="1.0"?>
    <!DOCTYPE pap PUBLIC "-//WAPFORUM//DTD PAP 2.1//EN" "http://www.openmobilealliance.org/tech/DTD/pap_2.1.dtd"[<?wap-pap-ver supported-versions="2.0"?>]>

       <address address-value="removed" />
       <quality-of-service delivery-method="unconfirmed" />
     </push-message>
    </pap>

    Kindly check if there is any issue with the above xml.

    The error which we are receiving at our end is:

    The 'HR' start tag on line 1 position 1071 does not match the end tag of 'body'. Line 1, position 1132.

  • Issue#518893: Blackberry - Android ported BB Push Notification stopped working after updating certificate credenti

    Push Notification in my Android ported BB app was working fine before updating production certificate. After adding RIM certificate credentials in Server & App (android.cfg) side, while registering I am getting following error from GCM: Invalid_Sender This error mainly comes due to invalid project number, but everything is right, I double checked, as there is no code change only updated AppID from production certificate. Please someone help me to fix this...

  • Issue#612601: Blackberry - Push Notification requires to be added

    We got an app developed by a developer couple of years ago ( that developer is no longer doing BB development ) and wants to add push notification to it.I am myself a PHP developer, so we can manage the web part ourself but we want someone to update our app source code for this to regiter a device and to receive push messages in app using Black Berry Push Notification service. Please give us an estimate of the cost and we can share the code with the person which fits our budget. We don't want to spend very much at this time might be somewhere around $25-$30 for adding push but once it is done we have another task ready for the same developer.

  • Issue#813361: Blackberry - PRIV Notification LED Stopped Working

    I noticed a few days ago that the LED notification light is no longer working on my PRIV. I haven't changed any settings in my phone, so I'm not sure what happened. I've gone into Settings > Sounds and Notifications > Pulse Notification Light and it is turned ON. I've also rebooted the phone on a number of occassions to see if that would reset the light and make it work. Not sure what to do next, but I would like to get this working again as it's useful when at work when I have the sound turned down on my phone. Thanks for you help.Pat

  • Issue#963522: Blackberry - InvokeRequest not working when passed to a Notification

    My new app uses Instant Previews to display important messages when the app is not in the foreground. I want the user to be able to tap the preview and bring my app to the foreground. Based on help from Roger Leblanc and the BlackBerry headless app documentation (which is the only BB docs I've found that talk about doing this) it should be as easy as creating an InvokeRequest, setting the target to the reverse URI for your app and then passing the request to the Notification object before actually invoking it. The problem I'm have is that doing this does nothing when the user taps the Instant Preview. Note that I am only invoking the Instant Preview... the notification does not appear in the hub. This is my code...  InvokeRequest request; request.setTarget( "com.mycompany.myapp" ); Notification* notification = new Notification( this ); notification->setTitle( title ); notification->setBody( body ); notification->setSoundUrl( QUrl( "file://path_to_sound/sound.mp3" )

  • Issue#1006062: Lenovo - Moto G4 - push notification stop working when phone's idle / inactive

    Hi! I have a very annoying problem with my Moto G4 bought in UK. Problem:My push notification for what's app and gmail stop working when phone's idle / inactive.When I use any app or when I just put the phone aside push notifications work fine. They show up on the locked screen and play a sound.After a few minutes of not using the phone, the message stop showing. The sender shows only one tick and the Moto G4 does not show ANY push notifications until the phone is switched on and unlocked. This is very annoying as I have missed already several call attempts. This problem occurs with the Wifi or data plan. It is not a What'sApp settings as it works fine for a while. Text messages and phone calls work fine, just internet seems to switch off when in idle and never come back until unlocked (even then it takes a while). I have tried to:change What'sApp settingslogout/login gmail accountdelete device's os cacheturn off battery saving options of whats ap and any services a

  • Issue#2259: Blackberry - Blackberry ADB Proxy Manager stopped working

    Hi, I've been working on an Android app for the last few months which I was developing on my BlackBerry Classic. It worked great. I could even debug via WiFi via the BlackBerry ADB Proxy Manager. However, after updating my Android SDK manager and a lot of Android stuff in there today, my device won't show up in the adb devices list anymore (not in IntelliJ and not on the command line). My device has developement mode enabled and has a debug token deployed. The tool still seems to run from IntelliJ, and it connects correctly as it did before. Is there a specific Android SDK Build-tools version I should use? I guess I'm going to try and delete the newer packages until I'm back at the old one, but I'm not even sure if this is the problem. This is how my current Android SDK Manager looks: Perhaps any other developer can help me by downloading the latest Android SDK and see if it works (to verify that it's not my machine being weird).

  • Issue#2448: Blackberry - PassportSQW100-1/10.3.2.2876 - Miracast not working (with LG TV).

    So I have been using Miracast on and off to different types of monitor, with great ease and success. However now that I finally got my own smart TV (LG brand), I found out that the Miracast connection just won't connect! It just keeps trying and times out without any clear error code. Other devices can connect to the LG TV just fine, and as far as I can tell my Passport can connect to other devices as well (haven't been able to test many on the newest OS). I've already reloaded the OS recently, so that doesn't seem to be a solution either. I'm hoping someone here can point me in the right direction!

  • Issue#7463: Blackberry ID issue

    I have attempted to sort this too many times and support on Twitter... which I do use, keeps saying they do not understand. I have a blackberry Z10, when I first set up my ID the contact e-mail address was for the business I worked for. I have not worked for that business for 4 years. I keep being asked to verify my Black Berry ID, the e-mail address is no longer valid, I will not see a reply, I now have a warning saying if the next attempt is incorrect, I will be unable to use black berry ID for 15 minutes???? All I want to do is change my ID e-mail address How do I do it?

  • Issue#11579: Blackberry - Unlocked Classic Not working on AT&T

    I recently purchased an unlocked Classic direct from Blackberry and have been unable to get data to work on AT&T. We have tried new SIMs, new packages, factory resets, dummy IMEI codes, different APN's, you name it, we seem to have tried it. 20 days of repeated calls to AT&T's call centres - escalations, experts, different stories cited, different reasons given. Today was typical - 3 hours being handed around different call centres - everyone helpful but no one able to help. Final reason given today was that AT&T couldn't support a BB that wasn't bought from AT&T!!!! Talk about WiFi tethering - pah - we are at the end of ours!Has anyone else had problems getting a new unlocked BB Classic working on AT&T?

  • Issue#19740: Blackberry - Not recieving notification from text on one contact only

    I have read some of the other posts here, and none of the solutions have worked for me.I have deleted Facebook, I have went in and manually deleted every text in the conversation, restarted many times, pulled battery. I can see the texts if I compose a new message, but as soon as it is sent, poof! gone again. No light, no vibration, no nothing. Nothing in the hub. I'm on 10 OS 10.3.2.2474 Normally I really wouldn't care, but the contact i'm not getting texts from is my wife, and she's gotten rather cross with me because of it. She is using a Galaxy Note 4, never had any problems. I think what may have started all this is I accidentally deleted our conversation, and it hasn't worked right since. Can anyone help?
