Hello, I am a newbie at Intel Galileo and opencv but this is my senior project so I have to learn. Now I have just done all the things written here IoT - Getting Started with the Intel® Galileo Board on Windows* | Intel® Developer Zone then installed Eclipse IDE and connected it to Intel Galileo. I tried blink codes and it worked. Now I want to process images with OpenCv. First of all I wrote these basic codes to capture a video from the webcam and I was expecting a window to show up and that I can see the view of my webcam on my computer. But it says Gtk-WARNING **: cannot open display:So what can I do to solve this problem? By the way, at the end of this project it will be a tennis ball tracking robot so any ideas/methods will be appreciated.  #include <opencv/cv.h>#include <opencv/highgui.h>#include <X11/keysym.h>  int main(int argc, char **argv){  /* Start the CV system and get the first v4l camera */  cvInitSystem(argc, argv)

Hi, I'm new in using Intel Galileo, and I'm trying to connect two Intel Galileo Gen 2 in order to communicate each other. I've linked pin 0 (rx) of board "A" with pin 1 (tx) of board "B" and viceversa. Intel Extreme Graphics. I'm dual booting Ubuntu 15.10 with Windows 10 both on separate HDDs. I'm playing graphics intensive games on Windows and I've installed Intel Graphics from Intel's own website leading to Intel Graphics Installer for Linux. After taking much time, the app displayed success message and asked a reboot. I did reboot and initial boot screen display was at about 640x480 resolution and then switched back to original 1024x768 resolution during boot and logged in as usually. I didn't noticed anything different from Ubuntu without Intel Graphics and/or with Intel Graphics. Next I ran, VMWare Workstation 12 and Installed Windows 8.1 x86 guest OS in it. I enabled 3D Support in settings but when I booted the VM, it displayed and error message that No 3D Support is available from Host OS... Did I did

  • Issue#48652: Qlik - Match function issue

Hi All, Please find the attached QVW. I have created "Expanded Sat and Sun Count YearWise" Chart, it should show the count of sat and sun for the each year. Ex: 2004 - 52+52=104 If i see expanded chart, it is showing 52 Sat and 52 Sun When we collapsed it, it is showing 366. Because it is also calculating NULL values, which i have suppressed. Can we exclude NULL values (262) from calculation? I have created WeekStatus Field using Match Function. Is there any function which i can use here to do not calculate other than SAT and SUN? Please see the script for this field. I have lot of requirement like this to use Match function to select few values from main field to derive new field, and i need to use those fields in PIVOT table... due to NULL values, i am not getting correct figure while collapsing the pivot table. Thanks,Raju

The NUC is attached to a BenQ FullHD Monitor via HDMI out, which has speakers built in. I have installed the latest Graphics drivers as well as the Realtek Audio drivers. Each time when I boot the device, I get a red X symbol on the speaker icon in the task bar telling me that no audio device was found. When I click on it, Windows identifies the issue and prompts me to restart. When I do that, the speaker is recognized and I can hear the audio boith via HDMI and the Audio jack.Next time I boot, I get the exact same issue again. How can I fix that?I already tried uninstalling the Realtek audio driver, which doesn't make any difference.

  • Issue#75634: Intel NUC6i3 with Intel HD 520 audio over HDMI issue

Hi, I got some frustrating issues with my Intel HD 520 and Audio via HDMI / mDP. [Description]The Audio over HDMI just stops/breaks under some circumstances: 1. Starting some games in fullscreen will instantly break audio over HDMI / mDP. Window Mode works just fine.2. Using Kodi in Fullscreen when switchin between different refresh rates (24p, 50p, 60p). It can happen after some videos or even after just one video. There is no error or anything reported back to me. After this issue happend the software will hang / stutter and freezes when closed down. Some games work just fine for hours without any issues. I've got no idea why that is. When starting the Game "Faster than Light" in fullscreen sound breaks 100% of all times.Playing some old backups of my GameCube games with Dolphin emulator and DirectX as Renderer will also lead 100% to this issue. The Games "Kerbal Space Program" and "Dead Space 1" worked always without any issues.  [Hardware]Its

  • Issue#106405: Intel - Galileo gen 2 - LEDs don't light up

My galileo board worked fine for some time.Yesterday I downloaded gentoo image for galileo gen 2 and started it from sd card, but I didn't have time to check if it actually works. As I went somewhere else I forgot to unplug my board (it wasn't connected to USB, only AC adapter). Today I went back and discovered that no led is on. I double checked that everything is connected, and measured oltage on input - it was a bit higher than 12V. I disconnected it and connected again. The green "ON" LED turned on for a fraction of a second and then slowly turned off. It didn't react to pressing REBOOT/RESET buttons. After disconnecting and connecting it again a few times it stopped working completely. Is it completely broken? Did I do something wrong?

With these embedded widgets blinking an LED is the equivalent of "Hello World".  I could not find an example here so I thought I would share this. Hopefully this will help someone out hen they want to blink an LED using MRAA and Python.  I have only used/tested this with the Galileo Gen 2 built with the EGLIBC image:  0 . First is to install mraa opkg update opkg install mraa  1. Next you import MRAA. import mraa  2. Then initialize the pin, in this example I am using digital pin 12. pin = mraa.Gpio(12)  3. Next set the pin to output mode. pin.dir(MRAA.DIR_OUT)  4. And then set it high or low to turn it on or off. pin.write(0)  It is just that easy! You can download a script here that does it all for you : GitHub - joemcmanus/led: Intel Galileo LED python scriptUse:     [email protected]:~# ./ 1     Bl

  • Issue#160314: Intel - NUC 6i5SYH hardware issue causes reboot loop

Last night I ran into a hardware issue that makes my brand new 6i5SYH NUC unusable. Please, advise!  The full story.  Preamble: I got new Skylake NUC in the end of January. BIOS version was 0028. I put inside 2 x 8GB Kingston HyperX Impact DDR4 2133 MHz, and Samsung EVO 850 M.2 500GB. I installed Windows 10 Pro 64bit, but changed group policy not to install updates w/o my review. Then I updated BIOS to 0033. And everything worked well for ~3 weeks. The only thing I could complain, that monitor didn't wake from sleep (on DP), so I had to disable sleep mode completely.   Problem: Yesterday I noticed that WiFi on NUC cannot connect to the Internet, although all other laptops, tablets and phones in house could. Then NUC unexpectedly rebooted. Then, right from logon screen rebooted again, and entered the endless reboot loop. Every couple of reboots it displayed recovery screen, so I was able to try all recovery procedures MS offers. Nothing helped. The biggest
